We recently celebrated ten wonderful years of marriage on Mackinac Island the week of October 8-12, 2007. Our first visit to Mackinac was for our honeymoon and we have returned six out of the last ten years, four of which with our two children. We look forward to our visit every May and October. Our children now love our home away from home just as much as we do and can't wait to go back each year. We are homesick the moment we leave. The island is not only a special romantic vacation for couples, but also a wonderful family environment. Mackinac Island is truly breathtaking during the fall season with exquisite color and natural beauty. The kindness and welcome feeling we receive from nearly everyone on the island is most memorable. Thank you!

My fisrt time to your lovely little island was last month. We only stayed one night and really enjoyed ourselves and we plan to come back and stay a little longer. A great place to get away from hectic city life.

My family visited Mackinac Island this Fall. Beautiful, and lots of fun, but the City needs to work on the horse & buggy issue. The smell of the horse maneur is horrific and when the sun hits the maneur it is an awful smell. Please ask them to catch the maneur so it doesn't fall in the street...otherwise, lovely destination.

I worked on Mackinac Island when I was going to NMU back in the early 70's. I returned for the first time a couple weekends ago and I must admit - even though it's a huge tourist trap, the uniqueness, charm and friendly people still make it an unforgettable place. The downtown has had a beautiful facelift, much nicer than 30 years ago. We had a marvelous time and intend to return to do much less fudge-eating [if that's possible] and much more hiking and biking.

Never can seem to get enough of Mackinac Island....it is fun exploring the dirt trails and riding the bike around the whole island, great fun for the whole family, we try to come up there once every year.
