I love mackinaw I am only 17 years of age and I have a lot of family history up there, I love the Library, I don't remember it very well, but from what I can it is a dream on a cove.

A big greeting to all that have ever visited this magical island. Those of us fortunate enough to have spent entire summers on Mackinac will always cherish that time in our lives. I wonder if any of my old friends visit this site... Emily, do you still have your shop on the island? Even in my little slice of paradise here on Clearwater Beach, I'm often day dreaming of the magic that is Mackinac Island. See you this summer!

I just wanted to say that I am enchanted wiht Mackinaw Island. It's dazzlingly blue water makes you squint your eyes to make sure it really THAT goregeous. Compared to places like Put-In-Bay and other islands, I would rather come to Mackinac. Thanks for keeping nature natural.

My husband (now deceased)and I spent our honeymoon at the Grand Hotel in July of 1953. He took me back in 1985 and I was amazed and disappointed in the change. I know the people there had to increase their ability to make a living but I wish everyone could see how it was "back then".
I will always treasure the memories of how it was in 1953, wonderful people and beautiful island.
