I visited the island over 50 years ago with my parents. A group of friends are talking about visiting the island again.

I have traveled to Mackinac every summer since I was a boy. I wanted to look up a site that would bring back the fond memory of the island. Just looking at a picture of this place brings back a feeling that I cant explain. There is something magical about this island that will take away all your worries and make you feel at home. I will always look back on my experiences here and smile. If you ever plan on taking a trip in the U.S. you better include Mackinac on your way.

Hi there!
Last fall I spent one day at Mackinac with my class. We had an exchange to Michigan.
The island is really really cool!
We had luck and the weather was great.
From the fort you have a wonderful view over the docks.
We didn't find the Biddle House but even though it was a great day. :-)
Greets,
Katrin from Germany.

Wow! What a great island! My family took a two week long vacation to Michigan and one of the last stops was at Macinac. It was the best part of the whole vacation! I loved it and really want to live there someday.

I just love the Island. I visited there once when I was younger. Since that first taste of the Island I've been craveing to go back. I would eventually love to live there, and whomever does, I'm envious of.

Now that Christmas is over, the Island is calling my name. As I sit in this cold, blustery season, I dream of the smells of lilacs, and fresh air, and can almost hear the sounds of horse hoofs. The Island is a magic place and I can't wait to return.

Thinking of Mackinac Island during this 2005 Christmas season! Our family spends five 'precious' days each summer (for past 20 yrs.) on your 'very special' island. Hoping to 'someday' spend Christmas Eve / Day on Mackinac.
Always especially enjoy the Christmas edition of The Town Crier.
BEST WISHES ~ for the winter season!

I visited Mackinac around 5 years ago in the summer and I can still remember what a wonderful experience it was. The air is clean, the scenery is beautiful. It's truly one of a kind.
