If you dislike the island as much as it sounds in your message to Mary from Wisconsin maybe you should find something else on the internet to be an expert about. I belive this page is entitled "Mackinac.com".
Going to the island can be expensive - depending on what you choose to do but you know the old saying, "you get what you pay for". There are many things to do, some more costly than others. Once you're on the island, you don't have to pay a dime to view the natural beauty.
I love this island and wouldn't trade a thing for all the money I've spent there on my past three visits.
Thanks for providing such a wonderful website!! I feel like I'm there in person every time I visit Mackinac.com.

I first went to the island as a high school senior with my parents and LOVED IT! I've been back twice since with my husband and I just can't get enough of Mackinac Island. I have traveled a lot but it's still my very favorite place to go. Please DO NOT EVER allow any chain restaurants or cars on the island! It's perfectly charming just the way it is. I frequently view the web cam at the Island House too. Thanks to everyone who makes Mackinac Island the wonderful place it is.

This is to Mary from WISCONSON. What do you mean no HILLS.You must of not went up to the fort.If you have a hard time walking your not going to like the island unless you take a taxi everywhere.I was up there in May of 2005 the last time I was up there must of been over 20 years ago. Now i know why its very expensive. and I dont plan on seeing it again in my life time........
