I came for the first time with my three daughters and husband. We met my husbands father and brother there and spent a week in a cottage. It was more than I thought it would be. Mackinac Island met all my expectations. There is still more I'd like to do there. There is so much to dd on the island. We reserved the cottage for next year. We would like to come every year.

My boyfriend, Oliver, has been telling me all about the islands. He used to live in Coldwater, MI. We are going over July 4th weekend, 2004. I am so excited!

I absolutely LOVE Mackinac Island!!! My husband proposed to me in front of Mission Point Resort in June 2002 and we have so many fond memories of that weekend. I hope Mackinac will always be motor free. Waking up to the clip clop of horses couldn't be any more relaxing.
We will return to the island in July this year for another fun relaxing vacation. Thank you for keeping the island so beautiful!!

I had the pleasure of visiting Mackinac Island about 16 years ago when I was 12. It was the most beautiful place and I would love it more than anything to live there year round. When we were visiting there was a wedding going on at the Grand Hotel on the front lawn. Absolutely breathtaking!! If you haven't been, definitely make it a must see destination!!

I think that I lived on mackinac in a different lifetime... I feel like I'm home when I'm there. The island is a special magical place to me. Pricey beyond belief but I love it anyway. Get take outs from Douds. Much less then the restaurants. The beach by the Windermere is really pretty. Make the trek to Fort Holmes, the view is gorgeous... Only do it on a pretty day though or it isn't worth it. I always get shin splints, guess it's because of the hills... Eat luch at the fort... GREAT view. Wonder if they still have that stupid fish on top of the restaurant... I love you Michigan. ;)
