I can bearly wait 'till I arrive again this summer at Mackinac Island. It is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. It's worth the long tiresome drive from Hamilton and I know when I get there I'll be so ecstatic and certainly well rested!!

I grew up in Michigan and crossed the bridge many times, only to make it to the island as a young adult. I worked at the Grand Hotel for a time and experienced some of the best times of my life on the island. You truely have to experience it after the "fudgies" leave. I've been back several times but this summer I will bring my husband for his first visit.

When I was a little girl my family would take vacations to Mackinaw Island. We loved to ride around the island, eat the fabulous fudge and relax to the sound of horses clip-clopping down the streets.
I plan on returning this year for my first ever visit to the Lilac Festival. I can't wait!
Wonderful memories of a wonderful place "Somewhere in Time."

I worked on the island 10 years ago! That was the best summer I have ever had! I still look back on the fun times I had there. I really enjoyed taking long walks through the woods and sitting on the rocks to write. I am planning a visit in August with my husband. He has been there once before. I don't know how anyone could visit and not fall in love with the atmosphere, the people and the island itself! It's like you DO go back in time!

Just would like to say that Mackinac Island is the most Beutiful Peice of Land i have ever seen! I grew up a couple of hours away from the island. And Have lived in Georgia for the past three years. I find myself constantly looking for new websites of photos to bring back memories. Yeah, Thats how awesome it is. I can't wait to ride around the Island again into the sunset. Just a few months away in July 2004, Thanks again Mackinac Island!

I grew up with family in the Petoskey area so going to the Island was part of our family's summer ritual. But life moves on. We grew up and my family spread out, all of us moving to various regions of the United States. So it's been many years since my last visit. My son and I are heading to the Island for the 4th of July weekend, summer 2004. I can't wait! sign me, a "troll" daughter forever!
